Grateful for a Village

Grateful for a Village

Motherhood is beautiful, but also overwhelming, exhausting, and sometimes lonely. My husband has been away for long stretches quite a few times in the last few months. It has been really hard but it has made me even more grateful for my village of people around me.

I am so lucky to have the mother and mother in law that I do. They have helped me so much during the times of my when my husband is, "on the run." lol but not really.

They way they have interrupted their schedules nad daily routines to stop by and help me with my daughter, or just let me go grocery shopping or go for a run has been so incredibly kind. I know that not every mother has that and I know how lucky I am that I do.

This journey wasn’t meant to be walked alone. Learning to lean on my village without guilt is something I feel like won't go away — I really am just so eternally grateful.

So today, I’m pausing to say thank you. Thank you to the ones who’ve stood beside us mothers in the mess, the joy, and everything in between. You’ve made us stronger. You’ve made this journey lighter.

If you’re a new mom reading this: find your people, lean in, and know that you’re never alone. And for any mother's out there that ARE doing it alone, my goodness you are magic, you are special, you are the elite.
